Mark co-founded a software development company when he was 19 years old, and never looked back. An entrepreneur at heart, he has bought and sold companies, been a public company CEO, and worked as a media executive for many years. He is passionate about mentoring and coaching leaders to live up to their utmost potential, and in using mindfulness-based training to support executive success.
Mark has studied and practiced Buddhism since his youth, and incorporated wisdom-based training as a helpful tool in his own work and career. With mindfulness now a secular practice that is scientifically acknowledged to reduce stress and increase cognitive ability, Mark has dedicated much of his practice to helping others utilize mindfulness techniques in boosting their career and personal growth. He is a certified mindfulness instructor through UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center (The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior), and the Mindfulness Training Institute in San Francisco.
In whatever spare time he has, Mark is a novelist, movie producer, and passionate art collector, and has served on numerous non-profit and corporate boards. He resides in Southern California with his husband, artist Luc Bernard, and their Airedale Maddux.
