Willie van Peer
Willie is Professor of Literature and Intercultural Research at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and Fellow of Clare Hall, Cambridge University. He is at home in literary studies and in social psychology. He faces reality in his empirical research And faces himself in his long-distance running. Willie leads a developmental school project in a remote savannah village in Mali and initiated the REDES project, an international collaborative research program between students of Munich, Utrecht, Kiev, and Rio de Janeiro. Willie is the author of some 15 books and just under 200 academic articles. He is the founder and first general editor of the journal "Scientific Study of Literature" and he is the former president of two international societies for the study of literature.
