Angus Fletcher


Angus is an Associate Professor of English and core member of Project Narrative at The Ohio State University. He specializes in story science, using cognitive and empirical techniques to measure the power of story-forms to encourage curiosity, risk-taking, creative problem-solving, and other healthy behaviors. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and he has worked on story projects for a range of private and public entities, from Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne (producers of The Lord of the Rings) to the Governor’s office of the State of Ohio. Angus received his PhD from Yale University.
